House of Hope Uganda's mission is to improve the lives of patients who are battling cancer at the Uganda Cancer Institute in Kampala. Our original goal was to build a Family Home that can shelter and protect patients during and between treatments. Recently, we have been working on small projects such as the Water Filtration Unit, in order to bring more immediate aid to the patients at Mulago.

What We've Achieved so far
Started and formed Cancer Clubs in Schools to bring about awareness. The 4 school cancer clubs we started have multiplied and spread to over 35 schools.
Provide self-sanitizing water dispensers.
Provided laptops for children to do homework and play video games.
Provided books, toys and crayons for the children during on-site visits to Uganda.
Provided transport for some patients who had no means of returning home after treatment. They had been stranded at the hospital for weeks, sleeping outside on the ground.
Provided clothes and bedding for some patients.
Provided some healthy meals.
Raised money for a Water Filtration Unit at the UCI.
Here is House of Hope Uganda passing out fresh food and water to patients who were waiting outside of the Uganda Cancer Institute waiting for their chemotherapy sessions.
